Peugeot launches pure electric e-Traveller MPV
Peugeot is introducing a pure electric MPV called e-Traveller in the UK at the end of 2020 that offers up to eight seats and comes in two different lengths.
A 50kWh battery enables the e-Traveller a range of up to 143 miles, a maximum speed and a 0-62mph time of 13.1 seconds. Drivers have the choice of three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Power – and two braking modes. Peugeot’s Grip Control drive system also enables the vehicle to be used on a variety of surfaces, thanks to different traction modes (including Snow and Sand).
There are two trim levels – Active or Allure – and two body lengths: Standard vehicles are 4.95m long, while Long offers 5.30m. There are numerous internal seating configurations, with the eight-seat layout also enabling bootspace of 1,500 litres and a five-seat version meaning up to 4,900 litres, thanks to removable seats.
Equipment includes heated seats, a head-up display, driver assistance systems and smartphone connectivity that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Peugeot is also offering customers a range of services as they transition to electric mobility. Easy-Charge offers charging solutions for the home or workplace, or a public charger offer, while Easy-Move offers a Mobility Pass that means owners have access to a vehicle with a traditional petrol or diesel engine when required.
