Mercedes-Benz reveals more details of the all-electric EQV MPV

Mercedes-Benz has announced pricing and specification details for its all-electric EQV people carrier, which will be available from the autumn.

Designing to combine practicality with all the advantages of an electric vehicle, the EQV will be able to carry up to seven people. It will be fitted with a 90kWh battery pack with an electric motor which can generate 204hp; enabling a range of up to 213 miles. The battery can be charged from 10-80 per cent in just 45 minutes, using a rapid DC charger.

The car is the second vehicle from all-electric EQ brand, with prices starting from £70,665 for the EQV 300 Sport, £72,895 for EQV 300 Sport Premium and £77,145 for the EQV 300 Sport Premium Plus.

In terms of specifications, the base Sport model line features standard equipment that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a Driving Assistance package, MBUX with Navigation Plus, reversing camera, electric sliding doors, easy-pack tailgate, ambient lighting and an eight-metre charging cable.

For an additional £2,230, the Sport Premium model adds 360° camera, a Memory package, an EQV Exterior Design package, a Table package and smartphone integration.

The range-topping Sport Premium Plus, which costs £77,145, then adds a Burmester surround sound system, Airmatic suspension and 18-inch wheels.

Inside, a MBUX infotainment system will have a number of EQ-specific features, including charging current and energy flow.

The Mercedes me Charge service can also be accessed via the MBUX interface, offering access to charging points across Europe without the need for multiple accounts and RFID cards. Mercedes me Charge covers different charging networks including Polar, the largest charging network in the UK.

EQ-optimised navigation can also be set via the MBUX system. It can calculate the fastest route taking into account the shortest charging time and nearby charging points.
